If you’re a UGC creator, you have less than 5 seconds to catch a brand’s attention when they look at your deck/website.

Think of it like how VCs scan startups.

You are fighting for their attention.

Here’s what brands are actually looking for in a strong UGC portfolio:

  • Clean, simple design that’s easy to scan

  • At least 6 video links showing range and versatility

  • Your city and country

  • Your preferred niche. For example, health and wellness, apps, beauty

  • Links to all socials, plus email and WhatsApp

  • Your age, and whether you’re Gen Z or millennial

  • An embedded calendar link for easy booking

  • Key stats and a callout of your most viral videos

  • Logos of brands you’ve worked with

Keep the portfolio short and cohesive. Stick to two or three primary colors max.

Your only goal is action. If someone reviews your portfolio, it should be obvious what to do next.

Before sending your portfolio to a brand, ask yourself: (Be hyper-critical)

  • Is it clear what niche I serve?

  • Does every video show a different skill?

  • Is it obvious how to hire me?

Finally, show your portfolio to friends or family.

Watch where their eyes naturally go. That tells you what’s working and what’s being ignored.
